The Canadian Postcode Lottery Foundation is part of the Postcode Lottery Group.
The Postcode Lottery Group is a social enterprise that contributes to a fairer, healthier, greener world. It sets up and operates charity lotteries worldwide to raise funds for good causes. In 1989, the Nationale Postcode Loterij started in the Netherlands, a lottery based on postcodes with a recurrent payment-based model that guarantees sustainable fundraising for good causes. Postcode Lotteries have also been set up in other European countries such as Sweden, Great Britain, Germany and Norway.

The Postcode Lottery is one of the safest games of chance globally. Players of the Postcode Lotteries have raised a total of $23.8 billion CAD for 500 long-term charity partners and thousands of projects worldwide since 1989. The Postcode Lottery Group has become the 3rd largest private donor in the world, after the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Wellcome Trust (2021).
