The Canadian Postcode Lottery Foundation is part of the Postcode Lottery Group.
The Postcode Lottery Group is a social enterprise that contributes to a fairer and greener world. It sets up and operates charity lotteries worldwide to raise funds for good causes. In 1989, the Nationale Postcode Loterij started in the Netherlands, a lottery based on postcodes with a recurrent payment-based model that guarantees sustainable fundraising for good causes. Postcode Lotteries have also been set up in other European countries such as Sweden, Great Britain, Germany and Norway.

The Postcode Lottery is one of the safest games of chance globally. Players of the Postcode Lotteries have raised a total of 19.8 billion CAD for more than 1,307 charities and social organisations worldwide, since 1989. The Postcode Lottery Group has become the 3rd largest private donor in the world, after the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Wellcome Trust (2021).

We operate lotteries in five European countries. Thanks to our loyal players we can be offer charitable organizations long-term support.
The Netherlands
Nationale Postcode Loterij was established in 1989 and currently has over 4 million players playing the lottery every month
Sweden
Svenska Postkodlotteriet started in 2005. It has grown rapidly since, making substantial contributions to over 50 charities.
Great Britain
People's Postcode Lottery piloted in the north of England in 2005. Three years later, in 2008, it launched in Scotland and since 2010 it has been operating throughout Great Britain.
Germany
Deutsche Postcode Lotterie launched in 2016. The lottery supports charities across Germany, with funds raised benefiting causes in proportion to the number of players in each state.
Norway
Norsk Postkodelotteri was launched in 2018. The lottery supports SOS-barnebyer and WWF Norge by contributing its proceeds after prizes are awarded.
